Cleaning up the debris

All that work in the backyard left a huge pile of sagebrush. We ordered a dumpster to be delivered and filled it full, and then some. We ordered a 10 cubic yard container but they delivered a 12 yd one. They didn't charge us more but we were grateful for the extra space, we needed it!

The new clean space with all the sagebrush gone.

See the container in the background?

A closer look, before adding the trees.

The dead trees in the yard came out. Our "before" picture that I usually forget to take. =)

Jae dug out around the roots and then used the ax to cut off the tree below the level of the yard. Walking off with the tree.

Nothing left there.

He kind of just pulled this one out of the ground after digging a little bit and shoving it around.

Getting ready to do the same to the last tree.

Small problem though, this one was so dead that when he started pushing on it it snapped right off. Then he had to dig out the stump.

All done!

Our "after" shot, no more trees. For as little and dead as they were I was kind of surprised that it seemed to make a difference to have them gone.

Moving more rock to create a path we can use to have the DG delivered and then move it over to under the swingset.

On to the next project, ordering and MOVING the DG.
