Jason's birthday

For Jason's 40th birthday he decided to go and visit his parents in WA. He had a good time working with Bill around their home on some projects. Jason's brother, Forrest, and his wife, Erin, and their daughter, Nolly, were able to sneak away from the Palouse and come visit. Jason hasn't seen Forrest or Erin since their wedding in March of 2011. They got to hang out, carve pumpkins, and celebrate Jason's birthday.

One of the nights that Jason was gone the kids and I had some errands that had to be run. They all did a great job in helping me get everything done that we decided to go to IHOP for dinner. We took some pictures to send to Jason to let him know we missed him.
How could you not miss this?

Because of Jason's work schedule and my school schedule we celebrated his birthday formally on Sunday the 27th. We have made friends with another family that has seven kids, the Hodsons, and it turns out that the dad's birthday is also October 28th (not the same year as Jason, though)! So we had the family over for dinner and cake to celebrate the twin birthdays. (As a sidenote, their 5th born child is also a boy, like Darik. And his birthday is January 13th, 2005! Darik's is January 13th, 2004. Kinda crazy!)

Opening his little gifts, fun silly stuff he needed or would be amused by.

Then the "real gift".
