that will tell you all about the island and its history. It is part of the Boston Harbor Islands National Park and it is really cool! It is home to now defunct Fort Warren. We picnicked and then ran off to explore the island and its history.
**Side note, in case you hadn't noticed it will be painfully obvious in this post, we had multiple cameras and users on this trip. As such, at some point one of the cameras got switched to "blue tint" (Who makes a setting like that?) and it wasn't discovered until later. So you will notice in this post that some seem bluer than others. Just wanted you to know why.**
Walking to and waiting for the ferry.

On the ferry.

Preparing for the loud horn.

On the island.

Coming back to Boston.

Waiting for the train.

It was a great day playing! After we headed back to Cherisa and Ian's house for dinner. We fed the kids and then the six adults went out to dinner, without children! Kind of a nice change of pace. Very early the next morning Cherisa drove my mom to the airport to fly to Minnesota for the funeral of her paternal uncle. We were sad that we couldn't all go with her and see my grandpa but she did a good job of representing our families. She was gone for the 20th and 21st and returned home on the afternoon of the 22nd.
