Monday evening we had some friends, the Jenkins, over to our house for two purposes. The youth hosted a party here for their friends while the younger children went trick-or-treating. Nathan accompanied Jason in taking Anna, Jaron, Darik, Caleb and Sarah around our neighborhood. Brother Jenkins had help from Ian, their twelve year old, in taking Kaleigh and Olivia trick-or-treating. This group was joined by Anna's friend Allie and her father Chris, also from our ward.
Then, Donya and I manned the house. Our own teens, Laurel, Zane and Rachel hosted a party with lots of teens coming and going. Some chose to stay the whole evening while others left occasionally to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood. Our teens weren't allowed to leave but it was an open house here at our place. Then, of course, there was the task of handing out candy.
People started to arrive about 6 and by eight the candy had been collected by our kids. Some teens had left, but not all and we sat down at 8 to watch The Sing-off. There is a group of men from BYU, Vocal Point, that is performing very well this season and everyone wanted to watch. The festivities started to wind down about 9 and everyone was gone by 9:30.
It was crazy busy, especially for a Monday night, but it was a great time for everyone. I was only able to get a few pictures because of how busy it was.
Nathan didn't dress up this year. Rachel did for the party.

Aww... Nate's too old for a costume? How did that happen??? Good shots for all the craziness, and I'm watching The Sing Off, too. Rooting for Vocal Point even if I'm a cougar alumn of a different kind!
