Staycation day 3

Wednesday morning we slept in until 7:30 and left the house by 9, headed for Tahoe City, CA.  There is a place there called Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park (http://northtahoeadventures.com/activities/treetop-adventure-park/).  We had traveled up there several weeks ago to check it out and make sure everyone wanted to do this cool family activity.  Our appointment was from 11 to 1:30.  We had a wonderful time doing the ropes course/ziplines.  There are several courses for the kids and several for the adults.  Jason and I took turns with the four youngest on their courses and Rachel, Nathan and Anna were able to bebop around on the adult courses.

Clean and happy before heading out that morning.

Getting our gear on and waiting for safety instructions.

Someone offered to take a picture with me in it. Unfortunately, I forgot to give the camera to anyone else and we were all busy climbing and sliding so there is no record of me being up in the trees, but I was there! =)

Finally on the course.

That's Anna in the distance. Nathan is on the platform between us.

She conquered her fear of zip lines and had a great time! Way to go Rach!

Meanwhile, over on the kid's course, Darik was showing off some moves.

Jason, Sarah, Caleb and Darik.

Jaron working away on his course.

This is Darik yelling, "Best vacation EVER!!" at me.

These two spent a lot of time together working the courses as fast as they could while Jason or I worked with Caleb and Sarah.

These are the video clips I took.

After we got home from Tahoe we cleaned up again, you get a little dirty when that dust is turned up. All of the courses end with a zip line into the ground so if you aren't running and facing the right direction when landing it can get a little messy. We made enchiladas for dinner and then hit the roller rink for the evening cheap session.

Taking a rest. Caleb and Sarah are great sports but not the greatest skaters so they needed lots of rest opportunities in between falling on their rear ends.

We had a great day and slept VERY well!

The selfish side of me continues to wish that you were still in Iowa, then I see these pictures and have to admit that we have absolutely nothing that cool! What an amazing place!
