September segments

Turns out I did take pictures of Sarah and Caleb on their first day of school, the day after Labor Day.

Some water colors shown off by Sarah, created by Sarah and Caleb.

Rae took this picture of rain coming down on the other side of the valley after church on the 11th.

Cookie decorating for Family Home Evening on the 12th. A little premature in the Halloween themes but we had a good time.

Some of Sarah's school work.

Anna decided on the 16th that her hair was long enough. She had reached the 10 inch minimum to donate to Locks of Love and, in fact, was able to donate a full 11 inches. I tried my hand at it this time. Then I took her to Great Clips to finish up my work. We didn't take the "after" picture for a few days to give her hair some time to recover from losing that much hair. It required a second cut the following Wednesday to get it right.

AWARDS!!!
Rae earned an academic letter for her performance last year. This means she had a weighted GPA of 3.9 or better. Grades are calculated differently here in Reno compared to Spokane. We had no idea when she ended the year last June that she had qualified for this honor. The assembly was held September 26th. Way to go Rae!

Nathan went to scout camp this summer and has worked hard outside of camp to complete another 6 merit badges. He received these on the 27th. He is only 2 badges away from earning his Life rank in scouting. The Eagle will be next. We're so pleased for the progress he is making. Way to go Nate!
