Christmas Eve we invited the Boehner family and Mike LaCombe over to celebrate. Earlier in the day we had made a Costco run and stopped to carol to my grandmother over in Sugarland. She really enjoyed it and we had a good time hanging out together for the day. We stopped at Papa Murphy's on the way home and picked up 4 family sized pizzas. So we had pizza and played Wii games and hung out Christmas Eve until Rachel came home from work, her shift was from 3:30-7:30.
Playing DDR on the Wii.
When Rachel arrived home we started to settle things down and read through the Christmas story from the bible mingled with Christmas hymns. It was a great evening! The kids were worn out and ready to head to bed.
Our friends, Mike La Combe and Amy and Erika Boehner.
Ethan and Gabe Boehner. (I get along really well with Ethan because he has the same sarcastic sense of humor that I do.)
The next morning we opened presents and then went to see Frozen in the movie theater at 11:00.

Playing games together.
At the movies.

After the movies we came home and made Christmas dinner while watching movies and playing our new games. Santa brought new pajama bottoms for every person and four new games to play. We've spent a good deal of this break sleeping in, lounging in our new jammies and having fun together. (Much more relaxed than last year where we spent every night in a new place for 9 nights in a row.)
