The rest of the kids and I left at 8:30 in the morning and drove the three hours to Wenatchee. At noon we had lunch with Aunt Lina and cousin Megan. Then we returned to the Senior Center where they were holding the party at 1:30 to surprise Grandma Jean. She was excited to have her great-grandchildren there. The kids did very well in a room full of adults who were all strangers to them except my parents and sister.
To give them a small break Celina and I loaded them all into the van and took them out to the Rocky Reach visitor's center. We got there at 3 and it closed at 4 so we hurried our way through the museum and fish ladder. We had a good time. At 4 we returned to the Senior Center and stayed until 5 when the "open house" party was over. At 5 we left for home and drove in the driveway at 8:20. It was a long day. But it was good to see some family I hadn't seen in over 20 years.
Pictures from the dam.
And now for family pictures.

Thanks for sharing the pics! The ones from the dam are so funny... Familiar and yet it looks like they've changed a few things.
Nice group shot of the grandkids. Can definitely tell whose are Kathy's and whose are Jack's. None of Jean and her kids? Maybe Dad took some.
Boy, can really tell you're all family!!! ;)
