He had a great birthday party with good friends and is so happy to be eight!
Over the 12th and 13th Rachel and Nathan accompanied our neighbor as members of the support crew for the MS150, a bike ride from Houston to Austin to help raise awareness and monies for Multiple Sclerosis funding. Here are a few of their pictures from that weekend.

Anna had her band competition on the 15th of April and I was able to go watch and listen. Her band did a fabulous job and won perfect scores in every category!
Darik participated in Alpha, a GT program offered through the school and designed this cool lunch box and presented on his project. He won 3rd place in his class for his invention of an insulated cold/hot lunch box.
April 17th I escorted Caleb's class to Space Center Houston for a fun time of exploring it's campus.
Easter weekend we went camping overnight from Good Friday to Saturday. The Easter Bunny came to our house Saturday morning while we were gone and this is what he left.
Easter Sunday we had dinner with the Hodson's and celebrated Joshua's 14th birthday. He is their third born that is the only kid in the same grade as one of ours, Anna. All he wanted for his birthday was to have our family over and since it was Easter we had a great time celebrating two very important events.Blowing out his candles. Anna and two other friends, Tori and Elise, ran in a mini-marathon. They made t-shirts for the event and this is Anna's. We didn't attend because it was on prom day and there were other things going on but she had a great time.

Prom was at the end of April and Rachel went to Clear Brook's prom with a young man she worked at Kroger with. They doubled with a friend from church who also attends Brook and his date from Friendswood High. (Zach and Hannah) Lots of preparation and stress went into getting her ready and beautiful but it was well worth it. Selected highlights follow.
On April 29th, just before school started for me Jason and I went to an Astros game with our friends, Laura and Adam Nelson. We had fun talking, hanging out and watching the Astros lose. We go for the company and experience, not to watch
them win.
April 30th, my last day of freedom! School begins May 1st. I was unable to attend Darik's field trip because it would be held on May 13th (a school day for me) so I attended his field day.
And THAT is all of April. My classes begin May 1st and life gets much more complicated from here on out. The boys quit piano and Anna quit gymnastics in May so that we have fewer pulls on our family as we head into this season of craziness.
