Her class.

A baby giraffe that we got to see.

This Red Panda was quite active and playful with the group.

Our spring break was from March 10-March 14. Rachel had her four wisdom teeth removed on the 6th so she missed school on the 7th. She had asked for the 6th-9th off but she was also given the 10th and 11th off. She was pretty swollen so we just took it easy. On Monday we went to the zoo and Costco, Jason worked, and Tuesday we went to see the Hobbit II which Jason was able to join us for. Wednesday we headed off for two nights of camping in Brazos State Park. We went camping with our friends, the Hodsons. They have seven children also, only one year younger than all of ours, with two girls and five boys. Kent and Jenny are the parents and then it is Caleb, Christina, Joshua, Benjamin, Andrew, Michael, and Rebecca. It was a little cold at night but beautiful weather overall. We enjoyed exploring the park, spending time with friends and seeing alligators.

Darik left the Bear group in scouts and advanced on to Webelos on the 18th. He had to go "wrestle the bear" in order to advance and Jae got to be the bear.

Jason and I took a concealed handgun class and went to shooting to qualify for our license. Still working on the paperwork to make that a reality, oh, and deciding on a gun to purchase, but we had fun.

I got the best score of all the women so I earned a t-shirt. Jason got 2nd best of the men but one of the other guys is ex-military so I don't think it was fair.Anna ran track and had several meets. Some she did really well in and others just so-so. She had a fun season and made lots of friends.
Just a quick photo of another fun past-time at our house.
