He struggled a bit with the breathing test so he is on an inhaled steroid twice a day and we see the Dr. again the 17th of August to monitor his progress. His allergy test revealed that his worst allergy is to grass. We're giving him all sorts of meds to help with that. Nasal sprays, pills, eye drops. Hopefully we'll find a combination of things that will give him the most relief and help the build up of mucus to decrease and reduce the ear infections.
Darik did a great job with the scratch test. Right after they see what he reacts to they wash off his back and then provide copious amounts of hydro-cortisone cream to relieve his itching. I took him out for a McFlurry afterward as a treat for doing so well.
Before the pokes.
After the pokes.
Reactions starting. The one on his right shoulder blade is a control, it's supposed to look like that.
All the allergens removed.
The grass is the second one down on the left side. Fortunately he's not allergic to cats, yeah! I told him Stowie was staying no matter what so I'm glad it's not an issue. He finished at 11 and by one you couldn't see where any of the testing was done.
