This has nothing to do with anything but we had made some salt dough for a primary lesson and Caleb and Sarah were having fun with it.
Sept 7th Nathan had another Cross country meet, in Sparks this time. This area is called Shadow Mountain and we've been there for other middle school cross country races and for Rachel's softball games. The whole family climbed to the top of the "mountain" and we were able to see a good chunk of the course most of the time. We could yell for Nathan about 75% of the time and he could hear us.

This set up was good for cheering him on but for the zoom lens on my camera with a moving target was kind of crummy. He has a white t-shirt on under his yellow running shirt. (And I TRIED to center him, when possible.)

He's doing well at racing and loves it. He keeps improving his time with each race, if only slightly. We're so happy that he has found a sport that he enjoys.
Rachel was the only other kid who couldn't make it to Nathan's race that evening because of prior responsibilities. But I caught this cute picture of her later. With marching band, three AP courses, private horn lessons, church activities and helping me with managing kids' activities (read chauffeur services) she's a little tired. Jaron added the hat before the picture.
But she's not the only tired girl at our house.
Darik has had soccer games every Saturday since the 25th of Aug. Jason traveled out of town on the 15th so I took lots of pictures for him of Darik's game so I'll share those with you too. He's number 12.
September is going well for everyone here and it's hard to believe the month is almost over.
