Labor Day Weekend - Saturday

Rachel and Nathan had a football game to perform at on the Friday of Labor Day weekend that we attended. On Saturday we had a few activities but that evening we left the kids at home and went to the Best In The West Nugget Rib Cook-Off with Phil and Rose, our neighbors and friends. Earlier this summer the four of us attended an Aces game together but I neglected to take any pictures. This time I remembered to document the event with A photo.

We drove out the the Legends Outlet Mall where the Cook-Off was providing a free shuttle service. We took the bus back to downtown Sparks to try all the yummy food that was offered. We decided to not take the kids and I'm so grateful. There were so many people attending the cook-off that it was difficult to walk around. Fortunately, Phil is 6 foot 4 so he lead the way through the crowd. Rose held onto his hand and Jason followed after Rose with me bringing up the rear.

The food was good, the company better, but that place was so packed none of has a desire to return on a Saturday night again, ever. We might do it next year during the early afternoon hours of a weekday but it was CRAZY! We're so grateful to have wonderful friends to try new things out with. Thanks for the invite guys!
