January 2015

January 2015 started out with a trip to the Health Museum downtown Houston. The museums in town are free on Thursday afternoons so we went to check this one out. Darik had read about it in his STARR tests and wanted to see if it was as cool as it sounded. We did have a good time checking out the exhibits and being together. We finished up with a little time to go check out the Museum of Natural History for about an hour (not many pictures there).


Playing a mind game, the most relaxed person's ball goes to the opposite side of the board and wins.

This giant chess set was there and we looked on as Darik played a pick-up game with another boy he met there. Darik won.=) We also played a few mean rounds of checkers waiting for the boys to finish the "duel".

After our time at the museums we decided to head to Red Robin to celebrate Darik's birthday a little early.


On the 13th we celebrated Darik's actual birthday.


Picnicking on the 17th of January while mom was at clinicals.


Annual temple trip for the primary children which now is only Darik, Caleb and Sarah. January 24th.
