We couldn't stay all day because Rachel had a game that evening. Gramma Lindh was able to make it down to watch her. They had a GREAT game. She played all innings and batted second. She made it on base every time and even tripled once. She had a great catch of a pop fly to create the second out of the inning. The team was playing "at home" and was up by 10 at the middle of the 5th inning. That meant the game was over. It was a warm, beautiful evening and we had a great time as a family cheering her on.

On Thursday I took the kids up to the South Hill and let them play at a park that has a great splash pad. We met up with our friends the Browns. I've promised them one splash pad a week for the entire summer. Not sure we'll be able to make it this week with the weather being so cool (mid-70's) and with a nice stiff breeze but we'll give it a try. Here are the pics from the afternoon. Rachel spent a majority of the afternoon reading. Anna and Nathan did a great job of keeping Sarah and Caleb happy. Anna did spend a little time improving her monkey abilities by climbing to the top of the swingset.

Sure enjoyed watching Rachel play softball. I hope to get up for another game before the season is over.
Water fun, yay! Rachel looks great!
I need to find out where that splash pad is-- looks like it was a lot of fun. Good game, Rachel!
