Darik's official party

So we had a "real" party for Darik on Saturday. The 16th was too full and busy to accommodate it so we went with the 23rd and he had a great time! We had 6 little boys over. We let them play Wii, Playstation and with toys. Then we took them outside to do a pinata. Then it was on to cake and homemade ice cream cones. Presents were opened and then back to playing freeze-tag and duck, duck, goose. I'm so grateful for such a large basement to play in. Darik was one happy boy.

Jaron set this up waiting for the party to start. I don't think we've played Jenga with our kids but they've loved the blocks for years.

The blindfold was used for the first round of hitting with three tries per person. Then we moved on to no blindfold and only one try per person.

Nathan and Rachel and Jason got to finish it off with one whack a piece. (Anna was gone for the afternoon, Caleb didn't want to hit it and Sarah was left inside where it was a bit warmer.)

Lining up for ice cream cones.

His friends sure know him! Among the gifts he got were a new Wii game and two RED Power Rangers.
