Rachel had solo and ensemble contest today. She performed Mozart's Concerto No. 3 for Horn in E flat, movement II. Her accompanist was Jenna Niccolls who was her piano teacher. They did a great job! We've included the adjudicator's comments at the end of her piece. She was so happy with how she performed. But we didn't get the scores until later this afternoon.
We stopped by the high school this afternoon and learned that she had earned a 1. That is on a scale of 4 to 1 with 1 being the best. We are so pleased for her. She is very talented and has worked hard to achieve this goal. Way to go Rachel!
She doesn't get to go to state because she is not a high school student but that will give her something to look forward to next year.
