January 10th

We had a great week getting back in the routine of school. The week was fairly uneventful. But here are a few highlights.

Caleb built a beautiful tower from the pop-oids. He also enjoyed "pajama day" at preschool on Tuesday.

Jaron lost a top, front tooth on the fourth and the tooth fairy came on the first night! Miracles do happen.

Sarah has gained another day of speech therapy. So now she attends on Mondays at 10:30, Wednesdays at 10 and Thursdays at 1:30. She is making good progress and we're hoping another day of therapy will speed things along for her. It's easy to see that she is enjoying her new, though limited, vocabulary. One of the most encouraging things about the therapy is that she is attempting words now. She is willing to reproduce, though poorly, the words that are modeled. Another year or two of this and she should have a very firm grasp on talking.

I've included a little video of her playing peek-a-boo with our family. She was doing this at dinner the other night but by the time I got my camera she was getting pretty wound up. She "attacked" Nathan for a hug. She has learned through this game how to say, "Where did it go?" Her intonation of the phrase and the few consonants she puts in helps us understand her.
