As a post script we had a small storm move through Sunday afternoon. Here was the promise at the end of it. This was taken looking east from our dining room window. The second picture is looking due south after the storm had passed and was taken at the same time as the first one.

The first day of school 2009
It's a tradition to take pictures on the first day of school. Everyone had on some sort of new clothes. They all are carrying "new to them" backpacks. There was some swapping going Monday night as we were filling bags. Darik was the only one with a new backpack but that was because he didn't get to have a new lunch sack. So we bought him off with a new backpack. (Never mind that I have three others not being used.) They each had a great day and I was the only one with a truckload of homework. "Sign and return this to your child's school" times 5. My signature was becoming less legible as the afternoon wore on. We made it out the door on time again this morning so the score stands at two down, 178 left to go! Here's to a great year!

What beautiful and handsome looking grandchildren of ours on their first day of school. They looked happy to go back to school.
How are Caleb and Sarah handling their siblings being gone all day?
What great looking kids!
We're avid rainbow watchers too :)
