An eclipse worth staying up for

As most of you know, unless you live in a cave somewhere, the Twilight series and their movies are all the rage with teens. Of course Rachel was not to be left out. The third movie, Eclipse, premiered at midnight on the 29th of June. She had a game that night that ended a little after 8. Girls started showing up about 9. We left for the theater at 10 and the line was wrapped all the way around the building and down the mall entrance.

The doors opened at 10:30. I managed to score 7 seats in a row, go Mom! Then I held all 6 seats (enduring nasty, disappointed glares from other latecomers wanting seats) while the girls went back to the lobby to get treats and their hair done. The local beauty school had students there doing free make-overs. The girls had a great time. They came back to their seats about 11:45 for a 12:01 showing. Every seat in every theater was sold.

However, there were some technical difficulties and the movie didn't start until 1. We got done at 3. I was soooo tired but she had a great time watching the midnight premiere with her friends, it was worth it. The girls went home about 11 the next day.

Waiting outside.

Nice lines.

Cute new do.

Pretty girls.
